How to increase Customer Base

Ask your DM, if you haven't already, for any extra brochures she has. What I do is go out in the morning (have to work around afternoon naps) and if I'm in the mood to knock on doors and introduce myself and pass out brochures getting names and phone numbers, if I'm not in the mood to talk to people I just toss the brochures on the porches. Then I look up the houses in one of the many reverse directories to call back in a couple days and ask if they would like to continue to receive brochures and if there was anything that they would like to order at this time. I know it is time to stop when my soon to be 4 yr. old says "Mommy don't knock on the door just drop the book" she has had enough and I need to stop before she starts getting "3 yr. old rude" to people. I put a recruiting note in with most of the canvassing brochures that I put out and all have a label geared to recruiting. Ask your DM I am sure she would be happy to take you recruiting as often as you wanted, and there is nothing wrong with going with another Avon representative or taking a friend with you especially if they might be interested in selling. Wear your Avon pins where ever you go to draw attention to you, I also hold a brochure up so people see the AVON name when they open the door. You can also increase your recruits and customers by cold calling during nap times. You can use the phone book or a reverse directory to hit a street at a time. When you first start calling you will be scared and nervous so set a goal to call say 10 people or for 15 minutes then take a break and keep building up your time calling. Use the power of 3, talk to 3 people (or more) each day about Avon's earning opportunity. That will give you 15 contacts a week, 60 a month to work with
