Tips on how to find New Customers

One idea is to not go friend finding but to take the phone book and send sale flyers to ten people who

live in an area you would like to get to and then call them in about 3 days to make sure they got the flyer

and introduce yourself as the Independent Avon Sales Rep. in their neighborhood. You can use a survey sheet...

Here's what I like to do. I'm not keen on friend finding either, but this modified version is bearable and even enjoyable. When I'm out shopping at the mall, bank grocers etc. I ask each person I meet this question. (The teller, clerk, mom with her kids waiting in line etc.) "Who do you know that sells Avon?"

Everyone has some kind of Avon story and it's amazing how they start telling you about it. Of course if they don't come up with a specific name, I am now their new contact. I am them for their name and number so I can contact them later and get a catalog to them. (I never give out catalogs there because then I don't get their phone number). When I call them back, they now have a face and a conversation to put with the Avon lady on the phone and are more receptive to party/recruit/ By the third call they an old friend! I make it my goal to find 10 people each day I go out. Then I have 10 calls to make the next day. (It takes 10 to get 1). To seriously fill your datebook, go for 10 new leads and 10 calls a day until your book is full. If your motivated it works and its not painful!
