List of how to keep track on who you call

Here is a sample of what my spiral notebook looks like. I had so many papers in a folder, I was calling

some people 2 or 3 times a day. As many calls as I make when I do this, it's impossible to keep track.

BTW, when I call, I usually make at least 100 calls a day.

Home phone/work phone (where they work)

1/1/99 -NA (no answer)

1/2/99 - mess (left message on machine)

1/3/99 - call PM -- this means that she works during the day, so I need

to call at home in the eve's. Depending on the job, I might call them at work real quick. I don't like doing

that, but sometimes I do.

I also make a note as to PR (prior rep), #800 (called 800#), customer search ---- these help determine

what "script" I use.

This is what I most always say:

" Hi, this is NAME with AVON. I'm calling today to see if you might be interested in returning to AVON"

"I'm calling today to verify that you are receiving AVON service."

"I'm calling today because you were on a list that indicated you would be interesting in either selling or

buying AVON products."

Obviously these are for each of the situations I mentioned above. If I get a machine, I leave my name and number and ask them to call back regardless so that I can take them off my calling list. After 5 calls, they get a letter asking them to respond. If no response, they will go to the recycle pile, which means I'll start again in about 6mo or so. If they have a rep, I get a name, that way if the rep quits, I can call the customer and they won't be stranded.
